Flávia is a PhD student in the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Economics at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign. Her dissertation explores the causes and patterns of land use change, particularly the indirect effects of policy on land use. Her research interest lies in conducting data-driven analyses to promote a sustainable balance between human needs and the preservation of natural resources.
